This property is located 45 minutes away from Cairns by boat transfer. For scheduled service times, please contact the property. Please note the last service of the day to depart Cairns is at 13:30 and the earliest service to depart the property is at 9:30. Please note that alcohol is not permitted onto the island. Any alcohol brought onto the island will be held by the Resort until day of departure. Please be aware that due to the resort liquor license, guests must be 18 years or older, or travelling with a parent or legal guardian.

Fitzroy Island Resort reserves the right to pass on the 1.95% for Visa & Mastercard transactions and 2.95% for American Express card payments.

All bookings that are due to check in between the 22nd of December and the 7th of January, are non-refundable. Fitzroy Island Resort reserves the right to charge the credit card provided at the time of booking any time prior to arrival for these dates.

What was the highlight of Fitzroy Island Resort
Good but could have been better
Property looks amazing, just in front of the beach.
The studio room though, left me a bit disappointed. For the price of 400$ for two nights, I would have expected better. I could not change my aircon temperature, the room smelled a bit of chemicals and the corners of the cabinets they had mould. Bed was not really that comfy.

What was the highlight of Fitzroy Island Resort
Good
The location is great, easy to go to from Cairns. The snorkeling and Nudey beach were wonderful. We had a cabin and enjoyed a lot the patio in front of it. Saw lots ok cuckatoos just outside. We had breakfast and dinner at Zephyr restaurant, the staff were nice and helpful, the dishes ok, some better than others.
The resort is a bit oldish but overall fine. The only thing that bothered me was oldish pillows. The pool bar seems a bit understaffed but nothing dramatic we got our drinks. I would have preferred a buffet breakfast but again the breakfast was ok.

The activities and island vibe
The room was very dark and very dated unfortunately. 2 lights were not working in the bathroom. Just felt a little unkempt unfortunately. Not a relaxing room. Felt like we didn't want to be in the room at all.

It's an amazing place, absolutely gorgeous. Rooms were fantastic and suitable for a family. Lots of activities.
